Home but not yet safe from psychic injury, a veteran of combat struggles to return to life after war. "Help a Soldier Heal" was directed by Maury Shessel to spread the message from Operation Gratitude of understanding this issue and help for combat veterans with PTSD.
"Help a Soldier Heal" was created as part of USC-MISC and CBS2/KCAL9's collaboration on "Power of the PSA," which aired to local and national audiences in June 2013. One year later, "Power of the PSA" won the LA Area Emmy for Education.
"Help a Soldier Heal" also won an individual LA Emmy for Public Service Announcement.
