Science and Art converge at The Bridge

The Bridge Institute has pledged to contribute funding to student film projects with a science component, starting with the stories produced by the "Making Media for Social Change" class co-taught by Jeremy Kagan and USC MISC director Michael Taylor.  This decision comes after Taylor joined the faculty of the Bridge Institute.

The first of many initiatives to come out of an increased interdisciplinary collaboration at the University of Southern California is The Bridge@USC.  In an attempt to recreate the cross-disciplinary study of the Renaissance era, The Bridge brings together top minds from the fields of biology, engineering, mathematics, nano science, animation and cinematic arts.

Cinematic Arts students with scripts featuring scientific subject matter are urged to contact The Bridge to find out if their projects are a fit.
