Exciting New Arts In Action Grant

The newly introduced USC Arts and Climate Collective is offering awards of $1,000 for students to support new and in-progress arts and media projects addressing sustainability, environmental justice and climate change. Inspired by shared efforts and fueled by student passions, Arts in Action is piloting this effort to use cultural strategies to address environmental justice at USC.

This exciting new pilot program awards funding to students for new or in-progress arts and media projects. The USC Arts and Climate Collective will invite awardees to publicly present previews of their work during the week of Earth Day 2021 (April 22nd) and will support them as the students continue their projects throughout the spring and summer. Although the deadline to apply was March 29, we hope that this program continues beyond this year and encourage all students to participate in the future.

Additional Opportunities

Although this is a new pilot grant, Arts In Action has several opportunities for students interested in building upon USC’s commitment to addressing society’s most pressing issues.  In addition to this Arts & Climate Collective grant, Arts in Action also offers the Mobilize! Mini-Grants.  Aimed at students looking to channel their creativity into activism and political engagement projects, these mini-grants can award up to $500 per project and are open to all students from any major.
